Wednesday, May 17th – Saturday, May 20th, 2017
This Spring 2017 four-day workshop will take place at Windhorse Zen Community, near Asheville, NC. We’ll begin Wednesday morning, May 17, and close with a final group meal in Asheville on Saturday evening, May 20. To ensure a high quality experience, this workshop will be limited to a relatively small number of participants. Once it is filled, additional applicants’ names will be put on a waiting list.
Windhorse Zen Community has a variety of accommodations available at reasonable rates, including private and shared rooms in our recently opened retreat lodge. Tenting on site is also a possibility. Simple vegetarian breakfasts and dinners will be available at the center for those who wish to sign up for them in advance. Accommodations and meals are not included in the cost of the workshop; if interested in both or either option, please contact us directly as soon as possible.
Participants interested in attending the program at Windhorse on Sunday morning, May 21, are welcome to do so. This will include Zen meditation and a presentation on Zen and the Creative Process. An orientation to practice at 8:45 will be open to anyone interested, with the program itself running from 9:30-11:30, followed by a vegetarian potluck brunch.
This Contemplative Photography Workshop offers a rare opportunity to work with a master photographer in a uniquely beautiful and meditative setting in the Appalachian mountains—the oldest mountains in the world.
